Mickaël Malaper, sports photographer specialising in capturing swimming joins us in Wythenshawe
We feel like FAST and Female is ‘coming home’ with our Wythenshawe, Manchester camp on the 4th of January 2026 in association with Everyone Active, when we return to the North West where Freya learnt to swim and progressed through age group swimming with Hoylake Swimming Club and Wirral Metro, getting her first national time aged 12.
We know the camp is going to be special, and more so now we can confirm that Mickaël Malaper, sports photographer specialising in capturing swimming and aquatics is attending, giving swim families the chance to purchase his striking and authentic images.
Mickaël shoots both from the deck and below the surface to create original images that show athletes in their environment doing what they do best! He comes from a coaching and teaching background in swimming, and knows and understands the sport very well. He and his team strive to capture memories of the events they cover, capturing not only the action but the emotions: the focus of the swimmer before stepping on the block, the celebrations at the end of the race, and the fun moments that often happen on the poolside in-between. Over the years he has worked with local clubs, federations and charities, including: The English Schools Swimming Association, Swim England West Midlands and Swim Wales, recently appointed official photography providers for their main event this season.
Mickaël delivers the best to swimmers, and the great news is that on-site printing will be available for the clinic in Wythenshawe to allow swimmers the opportunity to leave the event with their pictures!
Mickaël says ‘We are looking forward to working with the Fast and Female team alongside Freya Anderson, and capturing the essence of their mission: empowering female athletes in swimming.’
Mickaël we can’t wait to see you!
