My first swimming club was Hoylake ASC, near where my hometown is. My first coach was a woman called Christine, she taught me everything, from swimming with confidence to learning how to dive! I then progressed to Wirral Metro, where I was for 4/5 years then onto Ellesmere College when I was 14 up until I was 20, when I moved to the Bath Performance centre.

My greatest achievement was winning my first individual medal on a senior team. I was a successful junior swimmer and successful on relays on my first senior teams, but Iād never gotten that individual medal as a senior. It was at the European short course championships 2019, where I won the 200 then the 100. It took me by surprise, but it was amazing to have my family in the crowd, as it was in Scotland!
